Cancelling the school

The head of school can cancel Ufzack at any time. Nothing is lost right away: you have enough time to save your data.

How it works

  1. Open «Administration» → «Billing».
  2. At the bottom, tap «Cancel the school».
  3. The page shows you the dates that apply to your school.
  4. Type the school's address, shown in bold, into the field exactly as it is written.
  5. Tap «Submit cancellation». «Do not cancel» takes you back.

The school's contact address receives a confirmation by email.

What happens next

  • Until the end of the term everything runs as usual: for the monthly subscription until the end of the current subscription month (it counts from the day the subscription started, e.g. 4 October to 3 November), in the first 6 months until the end of the minimum term; for the yearly subscription until the end of the subscription year. If you cancel during the trial, that is the end of the trial, even if you have already chosen a subscription; it costs nothing. The page shows the exact date. Until then invoices arrive as usual, afterwards none; an invoice already sent for the time after is cancelled.
  • Then 30 days read only: parents see everything, the editorial area is locked and no notifications go out. Billing and export remain available.
  • Then deletion: all of the school's data is deleted, meaning families, events, info pages, attachments and accounts. This cannot be undone. A warning arrives by email 14 and 3 days before. In the encrypted backups the data remains for up to 12 months after the deletion; the backups serve only for restoring and then expire on their own. We keep the invoices to the school for as long as the law requires.

Export first

Download a complete export before the deletion. This is possible until the deletion, including the read-only period. See Exporting data for how.

Paying by card or TWINT

If you pay by card or TWINT, cancelling also ends the subscription with the payment service Stripe on the same date; nothing is charged after that. You can also cancel in the customer portal under «Payment method, receipts and subscription»: during the minimum term of the monthly subscription, the platform then moves the end to the end of the minimum term. If you undo the cancellation in the customer portal, the school carries on as before.
