Switching modules on and off

Every larger function of Ufzack is a module: absences, requests, helper lists, messages and more. Your school decides which ones it uses.

How it works

  1. Open «Administration», then the card for switching functions on and off (its title is in German for now).
  2. Each module appears in the list with its name, a short description and its state.
  3. Tick or untick the module you want.
  4. Tap «Save modules».

The roles head of school, administration and admin can make this change.

What happens when you switch a module off

Switched-off modules disappear for everyone from the navigation, “today” and the cockpit, parents included. The data is kept: switch the module back on and everything is there again. Anyone opening an old address of a switched-off module sees «This function is switched off at this school.»

The module's entries in the administration and the help articles about it also only appear while it is switched on.

Modules that start switched off

Most modules are switched on from the start. Initially off are: «Parent hours account», «Self-registration», «Payment requests» and «Automatic translation».

Modules with a notice

«Automatic translation» sends the school's texts to a translation service. When you switch it on, a notice appears. Tick «Read; the school agrees.», otherwise the module stays off and the page asks you to confirm. More under Automatic translation.

The modules work independently of each other: you can switch each one on or off on its own.
