Annual planning

Annual planning shows on one page what structures your school year. You open it in the cockpit under «Tools»; the card title is currently shown in German.

What you see there

• School year: its name with the first and last day, and below it the parts of the year, for example semesters.
• «School-free periods»: holidays and public holidays. They appear in the calendar as school-free, and event series skip these days.
• «Event series»: all series with weekday, frequency and period.
• «Event categories»: the kinds of events. A category pre-fills suitable details when you add an event.
• «Packing lists»: what children bring along, reusable for many events.

Creating a series

1. Tap «Create new series».
2. Enter when and how often the series takes place, and for whom. The «Preview» shows the resulting dates.
3. Tap «Create series». The events are created as drafts and are not yet visible to parents.
4. Open the series and publish all its events at once with «Publish drafts (…)».

You open an existing series with «Edit». Changes there apply at first only to events the series creates from now on; for existing events the series offers «Apply changes to existing events».

Categories and packing lists

With «Edit» you change a category or packing list; with «Create new category» and «Create new packing list» you add new ones. These links lead to the admin area and only appear if your account has access to it.

School year and holidays

You set the school year, structure and holidays in the setup wizard, in the school year step. If «No active school year recorded.» is shown, this step is still missing.
