Groups and audiences

The audience decides which families see an event or an announcement. Your own groups add circles such as the parents' council, choir or lunch club to the choice.

The audience

• Everyone: «All children», that is, no level chosen.
• Level: choose one or more levels.
• Class: narrow down to classes within the levels; for an event with «Limit to individual classes», for an announcement under «More details» with «from class» and «to class».
• Children: for an event, choose «For specific children»; then only the chosen children count. Under «For whole levels» you can add or exclude individual children.
• Groups: the members of a group are included in addition to the level.
• All parents: «Also all parents» for an event or «For parents» for an announcement also shows it to all families.

Creating a group

1. In the cockpit, tap «Groups» or open «Own groups» in the administration.
2. Tap «New group».
3. Enter «Name» and, if needed, «Description».
4. Choose the members under «Children» and «Parent accounts».
5. Tap «Save».

The group is then available in every audience selection.

Children or parents as members

Chosen children bring their families with them: events and announcements to the group reach their parents. Use parent accounts for circles that are about the parents themselves, such as the parents' council: their family then belongs to the audience.

If, for an announcement, request or poll, you choose only a group and no level, it reaches only the group. Otherwise «no level» would mean «all», as always.

Changing or deleting a group

Tap the group in the list to change its members. «Delete group» removes it without asking, but only while no event, announcement or other entry uses it as its audience. Otherwise the page names one of these entries: without the group it would go to everyone. Remove the group there first, or remove all members: an empty group reaches nobody.
