Creating and evaluating polls
With a poll you ask families in Ufzack a question with fixed answers. You switch on the «Polls» module under «Administration» → «Modules».
How it works
- In the «Cockpit», click «Poll».
- Enter the «Question», an «Explanation» if needed, and the «Deadline».
- Tick «Several answers possible», «Anonymous» and «Parents see the results after the deadline» as needed. The last one is ticked already.
- Choose the audience with «For which levels?», «From class», «To class» and, if shown, «Groups». No selection means: all families.
- Enter at least two answers.
- Click «Save as draft» or «Save and start».
Once started, the poll appears for the affected parents under «Waiting for you». No email goes out; mention it in an announcement if needed.
Anonymous or named
Each parent account answers once. Two parents in the same family can therefore each give an answer.
- Named: the results show who chose what. Parents can change their answer until the deadline.
- Anonymous: Ufzack only stores that an account took part, not what it chose. The answer cannot be changed.
You decide before starting whether a poll is anonymous. As soon as there are answers, the poll can no longer be edited. So check the question and the answers before you start.
Results
The results show the number and share for each answer and the number of «Participations». Running polls appear in the «Cockpit» with the number of answers so far. «Close now» ends a poll before the deadline.
If you chose to let parents see the results, they see the same figures after the deadline, but no names.
