Parent hours account
Many schools expect families to contribute a certain number of parent hours per school year. The parent hours account shows where you stand. It only appears if the school has switched this feature on.
Where to find the account
Under «Family and account» in the «Parent hours» section. Your current status is also shown there in brief.
What you see
- At the top: how many hours you have contributed in the current school year and how many the school expects (the target). The school sets the target, either per family or per parent.
- Next to it, an indicator shows whether you are on track, a little behind or behind. It compares your hours with the part of the school year that has already passed.
- If the school allows it, hours carried over from the previous year.
- Under «History», all entries with date, hours and source.
Hours from helper lists
If you sign up on a helper list for a task with hours, they are credited automatically after the event.
Reporting your own activity
If you helped in another way, record the activity yourself:
- Under «Record own activity», enter the «Date».
- Under «What did you do?», briefly describe the activity.
- Enter the «Hours».
- Tap «Record activity».
The entry then appears in the history as «Awaiting approval». It only counts towards your hours once the school approves it.
Reminder
If you are behind, Ufzack sends you a friendly email reminder twice per school year.
