Is the event taking place?

For events that depend on the weather or other circumstances, such as a sports day or an outing, the school decides at short notice whether they go ahead. Ufzack shows the status directly in the event. The feature only appears if the school has switched it on.

Before the decision

In the event in the calendar and on the today page you see the note «Taking place? Decision by …» with the day and time. The school decides by then.

If the school has said what applies if the event is postponed, for example an alternative date, this is shown in the event too.

The decision

As soon as the school has decided, the note changes:

• «Takes place»: the event goes ahead as planned.
• «Postponed to …»: the event now appears on the new date in the calendar.
• «Cancelled»: the event does not take place; it stays in the calendar with this note.

The school often adds a short message, for example what to bring.

Email and push notification

All families the event concerns receive the decision immediately by email and, if switched on, as a push notification. A link takes you straight to the event.

If you subscribe to the calendar in another app, it only picks up the change at its next update. For short-notice decisions, rely on Ufzack, the email or the push notification.
