Reporting absences and joker days

If your child is ill or has an appointment, you report it in Ufzack. The «Absences» page is under «Family and account», and you can also report an absence directly from the today page. It only appears if the school has switched this feature on.

Reporting an absence

1. Tap «Report absence».
2. Under «Which child?», choose one or more children.
3. Enter «From» and «Until (inclusive)» and choose a «Reason».
4. Tap «Send report». You receive a confirmation by email.

As the reason, «Illness» is enough. Please do not write any diagnosis in the «Note for the school».

Reporting deadline

The top of the page shows by what time in the morning the school expects the report. If it comes later, it is still saved. In that case, please also tell the school directly; if the school has given a phone number, it is shown on the page.

Joker days

A joker day needs no reason. How many joker days a child has per school year and how many days in advance you must enter one is set by the school; both are shown on the page.

1. Tap «Take a joker day».
2. Choose «Child» and «Date».
3. Tap «Enter joker day».

Saturdays and Sundays are not possible. The overview shows how many joker days each child has left.

Leave request

For longer or special absences, for example a trip outside the holidays, tap «Make a request». Enter the period and the «Reason», without any health information. An «Attachment» is optional. After «Submit request», the school management decides and you receive an email. In the overview, the request is shown as «Open», «Approved» or «Rejected».

Absences and requests are deleted 30 days after the end of the school year.
